Before becoming a photographer I was a teacher. I taught music in both public and private school settings for 13 years and still hold a teaching certificate. In 2017 I completed my masters degree in photography. Needless to say, I am passionate about both photography AND teaching.
The crash course for adults is designed to give you the information you need to get your DSLR off auto and start using the camera as a creative tool. This is a three hour, hands-on, photography workshop. The adult class is offered in person only once a year, in the summer. Let me know if you'd like to get on the roster.
You can also take this course year round, online, at your convenience (and save $25) if that works better with your schedule. You can access the online version here:
This is a private lesson opportunity for students of all ages. It is designed to help the student grow from where they are, beginner or more advanced. Topics are decided on together so that we can focus our efforts on what is important to you in meeting your personal photographic goals. Mentoring sessions are done in an 6 week sequence, each one hour in length, with the first meeting being used to discuss long-term goals, scheduling, and to lay out a course of study. Although these lessons are done in an 6-week sequence, you may start at any time of the year.
If you have any questions about classes or mentoring let me know. I'm happy to help!
